For Adam's 25th birthday, I gave him the greatest surprise of his life.... we're going back to his mission this summer- Reykjakik, Iceland! Let me tell you- it was the hardest secret to keep from him! I secretly saved money for an entire year and put it in an account that he had no idea existed.
A few weeks before his birthday, I ordered some Icelandic Krona, wrapped it in a big huge box, and had him open it on his big day. When he pulled it out, he had the most confused look on his face. He said "You got me Krona!" I could tell that he was trying to act excited about it, but was utterly confused at the same time. I let him sit there for a minute while trying to figure it out, but I couldn't take it anymore and blurted out, "We're going to Iceland!!!" I have only seen Adam cry a few times since I have known him, and this moment was immediately added to my list. He was shocked, happy, and excited all at the same time.
Naturally, he wanted to plan the trip that same day. We'll be going to the land of fire and ice August 2-9th during the green season! :) We can't wait!
